Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9, 1976, in Beaumont Puy de Domme. Her parents a dental surgeon as well as a teacher recognized and supported her love of theatre and drama at an early age, which was more important than a desire to become a primatologist due to her fascination with monkeys.
